Alessandro Schenini had a summer to remember in 2025, becoming the new British Champion in the Men’s Long Jump after clearing a distance of 7.83m. In addition, Alessandro also won the EAP event in Glasgow, the Immobel Infinity Meeting in Belgium, the Manchester International, and the English Senior Championships.

He’s already started his 2026 season as he means to go on by becoming the British Indoor Long Jump Champion to go alongside his Outdoor title.

The Giffnock North AC athlete made history in 2023, becoming only the second Scottish man ever to break the 8-metre barrier, with a jump of 8.00m at the Scottish Senior Championships.
